when i was 11 or 12, i was all about saving the tigers. i wrote a letter to the prime minister of india and at least two letters to george w. bush. i even got one back from dubya but that's besides the point and he didn't even mention the tigers in it. typical.
i had a folder with "top secret" written on the outside that held all my internet print-outs about the endangered species, grainy pictures of tigers, and my notes for the research paper i would be writing on the tigers (it wasn't very good).
i left it at my aunt's house one thanksgiving and she called my mom to say she found it but she didn't look inside because she wanted to respect my "top secret" warning, and i was so embarrassed.
pretty soon after that i stopped being such an activist for the tigers (plus i found siegfried and roy right around then and that whole business/performance/cat park of theirs scared me and seemed to make the animals less majestic and that's what it's all about with cats-- majesty). but tonight i was on one of my cute animal blogs and saw a video of a baby tiger and all those old feelings came rushing back.
this is what it's about you guys, lil baby tigers laying down. and the attacking and hurting of course.
so that's what the internet did for me tonight.
DON'T WANT TO TELL YOU WHAT TO DO BUT THIS IS A PRETTY SICK DOCUMENTARY ABOUT A MAN-HUNTING TIGER
(all cards on the table, it's not actually THAT sick)
